Lead is undoubtedly a versatile product, used for hundreds of years it benefits from being easy to cut and
shape while being strong enough to withstand the elements.
Lead sheeting, one of our most popular products, is exactly that, lead that has been poured and rolled
into a flat sheet. These sheets have a myriad of uses and a range of sizes is available.
Whether it is for a flat roof, a pitched roof, cladding, flashings, a new development or a restoration project, lead sheets can be used.
Lead plates are produced out of lead sheet and cut to size for specific applications.
The advantage of lead plates in relation to lead sheet is the lower weight per piece and the possibility to get it supplied flat instead of on roll. Lead plates are used by industrial customers which need the lead to be delivered flat for their own machinery. Lead weathering manufacturers sometimes also prefer to work with a lead plate because it saves them time and labour or because of certain required tolerances.
NOTE:
- Customer must verify lead equivalency meets the shielding requirements of the room
- Payment will be required to begin fabrication.
- Once fabrication begins, no cancellations or changes may take place
- By placing an order and paying you accept and have verified sizes, quantities, lead equivalency, and accept the terms for shipping / receiving and returns / replacement
- All products must be inspected upon delivery in the presence of the delivery driver. Once the product is received and the delivery receipt is signed, no claims for damage will be entertained. If there is damage, note it on the delivery receipt and contact us immediately.
- All radiation shielding calculations must be determined by a radiation physicist.
- A forklift is required for offloading
- Our products can only ship to a commercial address. We cannot ship to residential addresses.
